In the summer of 2009, the National Automobile Dealer Association conceived the idea of hosting an automotive industry event at the New York Auto Show. We were pleased that IHS Global Insight and the New York International Auto Show were willing to lend their names to this joint event. Each of the partners is dedicated to providing automotive industry leaders with the insights they need to make more informed business decisions.

The New York International Automobile Show...The World's Auto Show Show Dates: April 2 - 11, 2010
For over 100 years, the New York International Automobile Show has led the industry as one of world's premiere venues to launch new products, and 2010 will be no exception. For over one hundred years, through depression, war, boom-time, oil crisis, recession and growth, the New York Auto Show has continued its pioneering tradition of bringing new and innovative ideas to a national and world stage.
Today it is billed by carmakers as one of the most important Auto Shows in the world; the New York International Automobile Show enjoys a special place next to the great motor shows of Paris, Tokyo, Geneva, Detroit, and Frankfurt.
Sharing the stage with the world's other great shows means showcasing the best the industry has to offer. In the last decade alone, the Show has increased the number of visitors and new vehicle introductions year-on-year, and transformed the amount of local, national and international media coverage to over one billion impressions. Not only is New York home to all four of the major television networks, and seven of the top twenty cable networks, it has more than 220 newspapers and magazines representing 55 ethnic and national groups that are published in 38 different languages.
The popularity and importance of the Show as a place for consumers to research new cars is also increasingly important for automakers as the only way that they can reach huge numbers of potential buyers face-to-face. In fact, independent research among attendees of last year's Show, ranked it first as the most reliable source of information when making decisions to purchase or lease a brand new vehicle.
In addition to its place as one of the world's greatest public shows, GNYADA has expanded its range of world-class trade and industry events. Today, more than 100 individual events, conferences, industry forums, symposiums, award ceremonies, roundtables, and parties take place during the Show press preview week -- in addition to the more than 20 press conferences hosted by the automakers. No other event brings the business, consumer and lifestyle press, Wall Street's financial community, the marketing and advertisers of Madison Avenue, and the nation's largest and most diverse metropolitan population together in such a unique way.
110 years ago a fledgling auto industry opened its doors to the people of New York; today the New York International Automobile Show proudly opens its doors to the world.
